Gil Scott-Heron passed away today, after flying back to the US from a trip to Europe.
This guy was an amazing poet and musician, often dubbed “The Godfather of Rap”, he’s famous for one of the most critically acclaimed political songs: “The Revolution Will Not Be Televised” as well as his innovative recent album “I’m New Here”.
May his words and wisdom continue to inspire.
